<DIV>Yes, that's right: I'm upgrading to Vista this week. Either it will go smoothly with FOF, or I'll be running turns from work while dealing with Jim and Viatech to fix the issues. One of these days FOF will beWin2k-aware andI'll be able to save the league off to "My Documents"...</DIV>

<DIV>I'll be waiting yourfeedback on how it goes. FOF is the only reason I haven't upgraded yet. Everything else I've heard about Vista has been positive, but the posts on FOFC about it having issues with Elicense has made me hold off on the upgrade.</DIV><DIV></DIV><DIV></DIV><DIV></DIV><DIV></DIV>

I'll be waiting also for the "Allright boys" Vista thread.

I've been running FOF on Vista for a while now with no problems. There are two things you need to do to get it work

1) You have to "Runas Administrator" the first time you run it even if you're running as local admin anyway. You can't do this from the shortcut... you have to navigate down to the executable, and shift-right-click on it.

2) By default Vista locks down the program files directory to not be write-able. Because Jim doesn't follow modern development standards you have to give Users modify access to the Solecismic folders.

DOLA, iTunes and iPod syncing works fine for me in Vista and I use iTunes a lot. I had a bunch of driver issues for the first week running Vista including one with my audio driver that caused my computer to blue screen whenever I listed to music. That wasn't iTunes fault though was fixed by getting a better audio driver.

<DIV>The upgrade begins momentarily. At the latest I'll check in Monday morning from work. Sooner if this actually works.</DIV>

<DIV>Posting from Vista. Yay! Still a lot to go (I haven't installed any software yet), but the machine is back. Thunderbird, FOF2k7, and WinZip are the first three things to get installed.</DIV><DIV></DIV><DIV>Look for the "Allrighty boyz!" thread on FOFC soon.</DIV>
