Steam Engines DT Justin Appleton had a solid performance as he recorded 7 tackles. Steam Engines OLB Austin Angulo contributed as he recorded 6 tackles and an INT.

Scranton Steam Engines Head Coach, Josh Poor had these comments after the game, "We lose another game and our struggles continue. We have one more shot at redemption before our season comes to an end. Offensively, we performed poorly and only gained 149 yards of total offense. We gave up 3 sacks and turned the ball over 4 times. We struggled to convert on 3rd down. We scored 7 points on 1 trip to the Red Zone. Defensively, we limited their passing game, but were run over by their rushing attack. Me made some key stops on 3rd down. We allowed 31 points on 6 trips to the Red Zone. The Fightin' Reindeers dominated the time of possession and set the pace of the game. We have one game left and need to find a way to win this game and play spoiler to a divisional foe. We host the Hawk Mountain Sharpshins (11-4) in a WFC Northeastern Division matchup. A win for us would build momentum heading into the off-season and would hurt the Sharpshins position in the WFC Playoffs. We need to protect the ball, establish our running game, and control the clock if we want to have a shot at winning this game!"

WFC Northeastern Division Standings
1) Wilkes-Barre Coal Miners 11-4
2) Hawk Mountain Sharpshins 11-4
3) Atlantic City Gamblers 9-6
4) Scranton Steam Engines 1-14

Good summary - we're a one-dimensional team, and predictably, our strength is in the running game. When that's working for us we're hard to stop.
