Scranton Steam Engines Head Coach, Harold Corwin had these comments after the game, "This was a disappointing loss. It was a game we had a shot at winning, but couldn't execute on offense. This loss makes our shot at making the Playoffs slim, but we'll continue to bring it every game. We have made huge strides this season and are on the verge of having a playoff caliber team in place. Offensively, we were inconsistent out there today. We gave up 5 sacks and turned the ball over twice. We need to protect our QB better out there. We struggled to convert on 3rd down. We were held to 7 points on 2 trips to the Red Zone. Defensively, we struggled to defend the pass, but limited their running game. We made some key stops on 3rd down. We need to do more to pressure the opposing QB. We gave him too much time in the pocket. We allowed 10 points on 2 trips to the Red Zone. We need to put this loss aside and focus on the rest of our season. We travel to play the Hawk Mountain Sharpshins and desperately need a win. They are one of the teams in our way of making it to the Playoffs. The Sharpshins are led on offense by QB Johnny Phillips who is entering the contest with 3,715 passing yards with 38 TD's and 13 INT's. We need to get after Phillips early and get pressure on him or we are in for a long day. The Sharpshins are led on defense by DE Edward Lichtenberg who is entering the contest with 10 sacks. We need to protect our QB or we are in for a long day. We need to protect our QB, control the clock, and get pressure on the opposing QB if we want to have a shot at winning this game!"
