Hawk Mountain is showcasing three players for our early offseason trade block... if these guys fit youur team needs, please drop us a line. Here's a snapshot of the "bars" to whet your appetite...

http://www.fof-ihof.com/upload/QuikSand/hwk_block_2008.jpg

WR Donovan Reilly looks like a solid reserve split end, big rating in big play receiving makes him a solid downfield target, and he'll play well with a shaky QB if that's your lot. Will almost certainly renegotiate to a peanuts contract.

WLB Alex Berry is well suited to a 3-4 defense, which we ran for part of last season, but are now moving to a 4-3. Very solid pass rusher, and no slouch against the run, plus he has bump coverage skills if you'd use them. My guess is that if he "fits" a system fairly well, he couudl be a very prodcutive starting player, or a top reserve.

CB Derek Franklin is a young (4th year) corner who is available on a sign-and-trade basis. Good in man coverage and in all the secondary stuff like play diagnosis, punishing hitters, and making interceptions -- plus he is one of the most talented kick returners in the league, and a good enough special teamer to be your gunner.

HWK's main interest here is *moving up* in the draft this year, rather than actually gaining more picks. Here's my thinking for asking prices:

Reilly - move me up from round 6 to round 4
Berry - move me up from round 4 to round 3
Franklin - make me an offer, let's talk

Drop a line via PM if you're interested.
I wanted the cap space, so I have cut WR Reilly -- but the other two guys noted above remain available. The price remains the same... but probably inches up once the value of cap space cleared out by the trade becomes less useful (i.e. in a couple more FA stages).
