We had a 17-7 lead and let it slip away. In the 2nd half, we couldn't get in rhythm on offense even though our defense kept us in the game. Offensively, our running game had some success, but we couldn't keep in rhythm and struggled some. We turned the ball over twice. We struggled to convert on 3rd down and were held to a FG in the Red Zone. When you get that close; you need to get the ball in the end zone. Defensively, we shutdown their rushing game, but gave up too much in the air. We forced 3 turnovers. We made some key stops on 3rd down. We just couldn't get it done out there today. We will review the game film and find ways to improve. We need to put this loss aside and focus on the remaining games. We are on the fringe of breaking out and winning games. We need to focus on playing hard for an entire game and making some key plays late in games. We host the Toledo Sword Masters (2-2) next week and desperately need a win to keep the season afloat. The Sword Masters are led on offense by RB Spencer "Bulldozer" Johnson who is entering the contest with 374 yards rushing. Our front seven need to limit Johnson and need to wrap him up on tackles since he is a load to bring down. The Sword Masters are led on defense by FS Don "Mr. Everywhere" Bryant. Bryant is a ball hawk, so we need to remain aware of where he is at all times and not force the ball in his direction. We need to protect the ball, balance our attack, and play fundamental defense if we want to have a shot at winning this game!"

WFC Northeastern Division Standings

1) Atlantic City Gamblers 3-1

2) Hawk Mountain Sharpshins 2-2

3) Wilkes-Barre Coal Miners 2-2

4) Scranton Steam Engines 1-3

Steam Engines Injuries

OLB Stephen Garrett: Severe Anxiety: Unknown return

WR Troy Knight: Pulled Groin: Probable

Steam Engines Injured Reserve

FB Glenn Van Pelt: Ruptured Achilles Tendon

QB Don Chapman: ACL Knee Surgery
