Would like to join
- How'd you find FOFC? From the Solecismic Website
- Why are you applying to be in the WOOF, as opposed to another league? Having played in dozens of leagues over the years, and having been a commish of a TPF league, there are certain things that I look for in a lea
- How long have you been playing FOF? Since the inception of the game
- Having been in numerous leagues over the years I look for certain things in a league before I join, which by the way, your league has them all. 1. I like the website, it's design alone tells me how much time the commish puts into the league. All the information I need as a GM, can be found on the main page. 2. Turnover - This league appears to have very little to none at all over it's lifetime. Retention is huge for a league and something that I consider very important and this league has it. 3. Active GM's - I look at things like team articles, trades, trade block, how many different GM's are posting on the forums. Once again, this league has all of that. 4. Experienced GM's - I enjoy playing against experienced GM's as I find that to be the greatest challenge, and a great way to learn new things about the game much quicker. 5. Finally, pace of the sims. Three/week is a comfortable pace for me personally. I read the Constitution and it's nice to see everything laid out and explained in good detail. That is a huge help to me and is very impressive.
- What do you enjoy most about FOF? The challenge of game planning against my opponent and playing to my team's strength, and the draft. Finding that diamond in the rough, that player that will help me when others overlooked him
- What other text sims do you play? OOTP baseball for online. I also play Worldwide Soccer Manager in solo mode.
- Are you in any other online text sim leagues? If so, which ones? Not at this time. I was in four OOTP leagues but decided to take a break from that. That's what drew me back to FOF.
- How do you see yourself participating in the league beyond turning in exports for you team? Writing articles about my club, voting on league issues. I will contribute as much time to the league as I can.
- What's your age and what (general) line of work are you in? Old school guy at 54 but enjoy the heck out of online gaming. I am a recruiter for a human services company.
Thank you for the opportunity!
